Tag your Forum Posts & SIte-Wide Tag Suggestions
« on: Nov 02, 2016, 11:30:43 PM »

GreaterRealms members can add upwards of 5 tags to their posts in order to help organize and help things be found on the forum. If you have already made or started a new topic but haven't added a tag yet, scroll to the very bottom of the topic/post and you will find an area that says: "Add tags," where you can tag your post, be it IC, OOC or what have you.

In order to make things easier, there will have to be a few "universal" or "forum-wide," tags recommended for everyone to use so that the tags system actually works. Below, here are some of the tags to consider marking your posts with:

  • If you are creating an event in the events forum, please consider tagging that post with: events
  • If you are creating an in character topic, please consider tagging that post with: You character(s) names (Example: Suliss, BobtheDestroyer, Sassypants)
  • When creating an in character topic that is a SL thread or for others to RP in, consider tagging the post with: open sl, closed sl
  • (Open = Anyone can join in. Closed = only certain people can play or not open for anyone to join in)
  • If you are writing a character's journal or diary, please consider tagging those posts with: journal
  • If you are in the OOC forums and going to post an OOC forum game, please try and tag your posts with: ooc forum games
  • If you are creating a setting for yourself, your characters or for other people to play in, think about tagging the post with: settings, open settings, closed settings
Otherwise, what other tags you add to your posts are up to you. But remember that the more consistently you tag them, the more a member will be able to click that tag and find other posts just like it! (Example: if everyone tagged their IC character journals with journal, any logged in member clicking the journal tag will be presented with a list of any other post tagged journal and be able to read and check out new posts they may not know existed!)

This tagging system should help players keep track of their posts and member posts. I encourage you to begin using tags as soon as you can! (If you want. :P)
You own a rock. It's a rock with a symbol on it. Nobody is sure what it does.    Light, flexible, and handy for the acrobatic types.    A versatile vegetable for cakes, stews, meals and rabbits.    RhyDin's finest home made brew. Random and questionable contents which all lead to the same thing: getting stupefied drunk. Warning label reads: May cause fire breathing, murderous rampages, embarassing confessions, illusions of grandeur, overly affectionate thoughts and gut rot. Drink at your own risk.    A heavy long steel shield, enchanted with nature and shaped to resemble a leaf. The shield is said to be able to cloak the bearer in forested areas three times a day.    Madam Curio's specialty potion. One potion can restore either a tiny tidbit of health, stamina, mana (magic), strength, dexterity, perceptions or intelligence with one draw back: the effect is random and the drinker has no idea which will be bolstered.   A steel shuriken, or throwing star. Easily concealed, these weapons can be thrown or hidden in the palm for slashing or puncturing.    A deep green ring carved from spinel. Engraved are shapes of twisting vines that seem to reach out. This ring is ensorcelled to allow the wearer to cast Tangling Vines, a spell to trap a target, twice a day.   A necklace with the mummified claw of a supposed harpy. It is said the necklace may grant the wearer feather fall once a day.    This health potion is enough to restore light wounds (cuts, bruises, knock outs.) It may be enough to keep serious wounds together long enough to seek medical attention...but it isn't recommended for near-death health issues.    A splendid long cloak dyed as black as a starless night. To keep a body warm or to keep them hidden in the shadows?
